Collecting OCI

Hi All

I am going to india on monday ( have a visa ) and just noticed on OCI status online that my oci has been dispatched to NY consulate..is my only option to wait until i come back to US and then collect it ?.. I am back on 18 Jan..so will the consulate hold it for 6 weeks ?

Appreciate any inputs/thoughts..

collect the OCI when you are back.

if its showing dispatched, it normally takes 1-2 weeks for it to be received at the consulate. just collect it when your back.
