Code2 Biometrics & 485 Approval

There has been a recent flux of Code 2 biometrics among pending I-485.
It would be helpful to know how long does it take everyone to get their 485 approval after their Code 2 biometrics.



My code 2 is scheduled for Aug 6th
I-485 RD July 2003.
I-485 AD...??????

what is code1, code2 & code3?
In my first fp they took fingerprints from all my finger. In the second one they took my photo and only index fingerprint.
is that normal?

I think Code is just 10 FP. I have never had code 1 so am not positive
Code 2 is index FP, picture and signature
code 3 is all 10 FP, picture and signature

winterspring when did you get your Code2 biometrics done? which center?

EB3 NSC
Priority Date : May 2003
485 receipt date: Dec 2003
140 Approved : April 2005
Ist FP : June 2004
2nd FP (code 2) : Aug 12, 2005
3rd EAD (paper filing) Receipt date : July 2005

Since I am EB3 I am not sure if my 2nd FP is for my 485 or EAD. But I did not do online filing for my EAD then why 2nd FP?

I don't think FPs has anything to do with EB1/EB2/EB3.

what does your FP notice from BCIS say? do you remember what they circled when they stamp your form when you went for FP?

they circled 485 but it isn't 18 months since they did my last fp. I heard they send biometrics (code 2) when 485 is ready for approval. but I am EB3 thats why i am kinda confused.

I think you are analzying things too much.
goodluck and let us know if your 485 gets approved anytime soon.

either tomorrow or by Mon your LUD should change for 485 if the biometrics you did were for 485.

did you get your FP and pic for your EAD that you just renewed.

I have the similar situations with winterspring. Winterspring - Did you get LUD or message update after biometrics done? I have done the biometics code 2 last week, but haven't got any update so far.

After reading all your replies. i would like to share my details too. because i am also in the same boat as winterspring and mendota.

Here are my details.


EB3/ NSC
priority date for i485/i140 -> July 2004.
first Fp -> August 4 2004.
First FP and EAD -> August 25 2004.

I140 Approved date -> April 2005
@nd Ead and AP renewal -> July 7 2005
Second Finger print ->August 7 2005 (code 2)
Third Finger print ->august 24 2005 (code 2 only for me not for my husband).

Ead approved -> August 24 2005.
I485 pendingg.....
AP Pending .......

Code 2 done

Hi,

I am also in the same boat as everyone else.

My entire family did code 2 on August 2 2005. The LUDs changed for all four of us next day, no message change though. This is clearly mentioned on USCIS website, i.e., internal processing etc. will change the LUD but not the message.

My RD's for 485 are May 2004. 140 is approved in 2004. FP 1 was also done for me and wife.

Like everyone else I am also desperately waiting for 485 approval and cards. It is very very....... frustrating.
