As per my observations --- any one who applies for 485 gets Biometrics notice..
For concurrent filiers it is little bit different -- people who have there 140 approved seems to get Biometrics...
So it looks like its a just automatic process -- like old FP used to be.. Wonder how long this biometrics are valid .. May be for 15 months like old FP.
Another thing I noticed was people who have already done there FP less than 15 months ago get --> Code 2 Biometrics... First time [ who did not do FP] guys get Code 3...
May be after our FP expires after 15 months -- they may call us for Code1 or Code 3 again...{hope this does not happen}
Regarding the relationship with 485 approval -- I do not think they might be linked -- some have had got there 485 approved and then they get call for Biometrics ... It looks like Biometrics is required for issue of the CARD and not approval of 485..
