Just wanted folks to know that our family recorded a video entry on Youtube for the CNN-YouTube presidential debate competition.

They are looking for a few winners that will be used to pose questions to democratic presidential contenders. My son who is an International Affairs/Poli-Sci student wanted to do this and wanted our support.

The higher rating and more views/comments we get the more attention we will get from CNN.
 
A wonderful piece of work !! In these days of one line sound-bites and attention deficit viewers, political debates need questions like yours - a short and sweet problem statement with a less than 10 word question at the end ..... all wrapped up in less than 30 seconds.

I gave it 5 stars .....

Wonderful support. Thank you. So far we have over 850 viewings and have been rated 76 times and 23 comments. That has managed to push us to #6 in the News and Politics stories of the day. This morning we overtook a Ron Paul story. If you have not had a chance to check the video out, please rate it by clicking on the stars or leave a comment as that will push our position even further.

Thank you once again. My son is beginning to get quite optimistic that CNN might just pick this one :-)
 
Update 7/9

Thank you for all your support. Quick update. Our video now has 1,439 viewings, 132 ratings and 38 comments (as at 4:15pm EDT 7/9). This has resulted in us having the #32 top rated video of the week in News and Politics. Your support has been wonderful and thank you for your positive comments left on the page.

We have looked at a large number of the other videos in the competition and we certainly have a much higher rating and viewings number than any of the videos other than the ones posted in the first week of the competition. Sadly we dont want to monitor them as every time we check their score it rates as another viewing for them :p

We remain hopeful that our moderate position on a difficult topic may give us an edge but who knows. My son is dying to pose a supplementary to the video question about the byzantine process we all have to endure.
