Its so hard to see so many educated people panicking like little innocent kids.

Whatever rumour is there..it just can't be true...coz it simply doesn't make any sense. Even "IF" they had to move the PD to '88 they would have kept it the same as last one i.e. June '02 b'coz it would've have covererd all period (inc. '88) upto june '02. This way they would also avoid any controversy about moving the date backward instead of forward.
This news is simply not true...

Now, stop worrying & wait until wednesday when the "official" bulliten will be out.
Now don't forget to thanks me on wednesday if I happen to be right...

I see your point, a valid point, but I can't agree that the Dept. of State made a mistake and published the "unofficial" bulletin. They could be up for a law suit.
 
its over guys....It cannot be a rumor as this has never hapened before taht US State Dept will post a wrong Bulletin...

I think we should plan a movement that hurts the Us Companies big time...then their Govt will come back on track and start treating our applications with respect.

they have made a mockery of our status here in US...its a shame....Lets unite and take action.

For Indians 2803 (7%max)

Indians will get unused EB3 numbers. But it will not be known till towards the end of the year. That is the reason why it has retrogessed so far back.

Of 65,000 H1Bs that were available during late 90s, most of them were taken by Indians. Assuming considerable portion of that H1B's initiated the GC process, it all make sense.

Am I missing something here?

Which official bulletin are you referring about? It is already out.

You forgot 100 of country in the world. So the EB3 quota should be divided by number of country in the world.
