Cleared NameCheck and Security. How much longer?

Hello Everyone!
I just called FBI to find out if mine and my wife's fingerprinting were processed. They said it was already sent back to USCIS in July (2006), on the same day that we went to do them.
So, I called NSC and they told me that the fingerprints and name check results are already in. Then the nice lady wasn't able to tell me when approximately we can receive the approval of our 485 applications. She said the official processing date only. Does anyone know how long it may take in reality?
We are from Malaysia and Poland, EB2, non-retrogressed, filed in Nebraska.

PERM: filed May 26, 2006 and approved June 1, 2006
140/485 received by USCIS: July 3, 2006
EAD received: July 20, 2006
FP done: July 26, 2006
140 approved with premium processing upgrade: Nov. 6, 2006
485: waiting
 
Can you post the number you called?

Can you please post the number you called to inquire the name check status? I heard that usually this information is not given out.
 
FBI: 1-304-625-5590
NSC: 1-800-375-5283 (the standard number from the form)

Well, my friend called them and the person wouldn't talk to him. I guess it all depends on who is picking up the phone. But be prepared for the long wait on hold.
 
Thanks, I tried both the numbers.

The FBI said that they can only give finger printing status and not name check.
The 1-800 number guy kinda took pleasure in not giving me any information...he just read out the standard message on the online status message box and said that you got to wait until it comes and I could hear him smirking too.

do u know when ur and ur wife's namechecks have been cleared? can u find out? when did u call NSC and they told u about ur namecheck?
 
The FBI person told me when they sent back the result. It was the same date as when we went to take the biometrics.

Now, the NSC person said that both (biometrics and name check) results for both of us are in, and now we are in line to be processed. I assumed that it means it was all cleared. I didn't ask for the dates as to when it was done. Then I tried more and asked how long until the end. The lady gave me the official date when the 485s are processed (March 17th as of today). That's it. Couldn't get more out of them, although it was A LOT considering the fact that they usually give nothing.

Their inconsistency is really amazing -- I've never tried calling them myself (yet), but reading a lot of posts here, it looks like some give you name-check info, others not.

Further, it doesn't really make sense to me they give you FP info but generally not NC info. Anyone can explain why it is?
