My sister got her RTD last week but her class says "ASYLEE" not Permanent Resident. She is a PR since 2003 with a GC in hand..
Is that ok? or cause for concern?

faysal said:Well, It depends on how your sister got her greencard. If she has got her greencard through asylum, then her class of admission to pernanent residency should be asylee and that should appear on her Refugee Travel Document. But if she was admitted on other basis then that should be a mistake. Remember, your greencard states your class of admission. your travel document should also state as well. Nothing to worry.....it is normal..
Lazerthegreat said:NO! When you become PR, your RTD shows "PR" NOT "Asylee" under class of addmission.
wantmygcnow said:That's what I thought too Lazer and today I called USCIS and talked to an officer. He said that they have changed that rule and it says your class of adjustment..i.e refugee or asylee and not a PR since RTD is issued to asylee's & refugees only and putting as PR caused confusions...
I dont think thats true..but I took the word for it.
