I think everyone agrees that processing times for I-485 - particularly at the TSC - has been falling progressively behind and is currently unacceptably backlogged with no relief in sight.
Has the possibility of filing a writ of mandamus action with the
federal district court through a class action been examined - i.e. anyone heard of any group looking to do this? This is an action at the federal district court seeking an order from the court to compel a U.S. government agency to perform its duties.
Recently cases included mandamus actions for N-400 applications and for visa petitions of health-care workers.
Perhaps a non-profit that was set up specifically to further the interests of business immigrants proposed in the thread [http://boards.immigration.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=105471] by Mr. Mills may be the answer

the group on this forum (found in this thread [http://boards.immigration.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=106283]) might help.
I understand it may be expensive, but enough persons in a class-action may reduce the individual's cost to a manageable level.
