Claiming Unemployment Benefits for dependent GC applicant with EAD

Can my spouse claim unemployment benefits in NJ who is on EAD under my primary 485 application? Can it effect our GC process?

If your spouse is eligible for UI, then he or she may claim it. UI does NOT make one a public charge.
