Hi,
I was wondering if an F-1 student can claim teh state's residency for paying in-district tuition fees? I graduated from a Texas High school and I went to college paying only in district fees....I'm going to turn 21 so if i convert to F-1 , can i still claim state residency?
Thanks

What is your current status?

I don't think you can since you are an international student. But check with your school. Different schools have different requirements for residency. Plus since you had a different status before...it might be different for you. Either way, your school will be of more help than this forum.

Chokolat had said it.
It truly depends on the school especially whether the school is private or public. Some private schools even have full scholarships for international students. It's worth doing some research...
