civil surgeon again

I\'m a little confused. My lawyer told me I have to use a civil surgeon in New Jersey since I live in NJ even though I work in NYC. But the surgeon in NJ charges much more than those in NYC. One of my friends, also living in NJ, used a surgeon in NYC who charges him only $160, while in NJ the price could be doubled. So it would be very helpful if someone can clarify on this.

I think you should be okay by taking the test in NYC.

I had mine in Boston and it costs about 135 per person. Double check with your lawer though.
 
u can have ur medical done anywhere

by any INS authorized doctor. I live in NC but had my medical done in virginia. now my case is approved and stamped. So go for cheapest one.
 
Same situation

My to-be wife is in iowa, my 140 is approved, will be getting the paper from lawyer next week.
I guess she will be able to get her medical done over at iowa...any more thoughts on it?

You can choose any Civil Surgeon you want in any state.

We went to this guy in NJ - $210 per person - all inclusive.
