Civics test

Hi guys,

My interview is scheduled at 8 AM next Wednesday, 10/14/09. Needless to say, I am getting a little nervous. Regarding the answers that I need to provide during the civics test - does it need to match word for word what's in the booklet? Is it acceptable if the answer is rephrased differently so long as it is correct?

I will post an update after the interview.

Thank you!

Civics test is simple and easy. You need to answer in a word or two. There is no need to rephrase and confuse the immigration officer. Eg: What is the supreme law of the land? Ans: Constitution
Good luck!

I doubt you will confuse the IO.
To answer the OP's question, you can answer in any way you wish as long as the answer is correct.
Good Luck!

Don't sweat it, I know what you are going through. You will be fine I am sure. I got about 2 hours sleep the night before the interview but sailed through the answers without thinking. I was sure I had forgotten them all. :D

I agree with most posters it is very natural to get cold feet before the interview believe me i was so paranoid the night before how dunno many times i went thru the 100 questions, but in the end the civic test was a breeze nothing to worry about. Just be confident and find your happy place. Good luck.
