I have an employment based GC, and my wife has a derivative GC through me received at the same time.

Are we still tied together for purposes of the GC and citizenship moving forward? For instance, if 5 yrs after receiving the GC, I choose not to get citizenship, could my spouse still go ahead and apply for citizenship or would we need to apply together?

Only if there was fraud or other discrepancies in your GC application process that would justify revoking your GC. Once yours is revoked based on those pre-GC issues, the next step would be to revoke the derivative ones.

Otherwise, you can each keep or lose your GC, and get or don't get citizenship, independently of each other.
