Citizenship with 'name check' experience

OK, here is timeline of my citizenship and
name check needed experience at Tampa:

1. Dec, 2004 N400 sent in to Texas center
2. Jan, 2005 fingerprints

3. June, 2005 interview in Tampa went OK,
but had the dreaded 'need name/background check'

4. Oct, 2005 per Immigration instructions on bottom of
name check needed form, sent in status request
after 120 days.

5. Dec, 2005 Got Oath letter for Jan, 2006 ceremony

6. Jan, 2006 Received citizenship with 50 others at new
Federal courthouse in Tampa. Yes!!!!!
Took 1 hour to check everyone in and 45 minute
ceremony.

So the name check did delay me 5 months, but strongly suggest
using the 120 day status process as shown on the bottom of the
'need further action' form. Also sent 1 page cover letter
nicely (I think) asking status.

Congrats on becoming a citizen!
I am still waiting on my interview letter from Tampa. Had my prints done in October, after I have applied for citizenship in August.

Why were you sworn in at a Federal Court house rather than Tampa Convention Center? Were you changing your name as well?
