Citizenship Time Frame

Does anyone know how long it usually takes from the point of one's application for naturalization to when he/she is granted citizenship? I know we can all apply approx. 3 years and 9 months from the date of our green card but that doesn't mean we'll be naturalized right away? I'm guessing that it'll be another year or so before you're granted, after the paperwork, the tests, the ceremony, etc. Am I right?

varies from office to office. up to two years. earlier this year bush put out a plan saying that every naturalization applicant should be processed within six months. but with today's event in london we are going to see even more immigration restrictions and scrutiny

Are you an asylee or a refugee. Because I was told that the citizenship adjustment gets dated a year back for REFUGEES and NOT asylees.

you are wrong. I just consulted my lawyer who is the one of the best in TX. the date of GC for refugee is the entrance date. and date of GC for the asylee is a year back. I am pretty sure.

I think this is highly probable. Every action will have a reaction. However you spin it the fact of the matter is that foreign-born terrorists are still posing a threat to the US and the UK.
