Hello!

I just recently got married and hope to obtain my Citizenship once my husband and I reach the 3 year mark. Does anyone know generally how long it will take once the application N400 is submitted to the time citizenship is obtained?

Also, can we have dual citizenship? I am canadian and hope to keep both my candian citizenship as well as the us citizenship I will obtain.

Thanks for the help

Hard to say how long, as each case depends on namecheck and processing times at the SC and DO. Typically 6-9 months for many areas. Check the relevant 'tracker' thread for info specific to your DO.

Dual citizenship with Canada is normally not a problem, especially if that happens to be your birth country.

I would say ... calculate 2.9 + 1 ..... based on USCIS stats... unless they get worse....

From the date you acquire PR status, you may apply for citizenship 3 years sans 90 days from that date.
You will be able to keep your Canadian citizenship after obtaining US citizenship.
