I got my GC on 04/19/2004. I was laid off 2 weeks before my GC and I found a job within 2 weeks. My concern is on Citizenship interview will the officer can deny my application due to change from sponsorship employer.

Thanks

If the interviewer decides to grill you about it (many don't) you may have some explanation to do, but you should be OK provided that the next job met the AC21 criteria of "same or similar" (I'm assuming you got an employer-sponsored green card).

Not a single incodent during N400 , that I am aware of, that the IO asked about employment history prior to getting GC. You should not worry about it too much. I think this is a non-issue. Don't bring it up on your own, and just forget about it altogether. In the far remote event ( I mean farther that Neptune and Pluto), if they ask , just tell them you found a job immediately afterwards.
Anything can be a problem in immigration, then so is it in life.
But at least something gotta be brushed-off, like the one above. :D

It happens. A few on this forum were hassled in the interview for leaving the employer very soon (less than 1 month) after GC approval, and got approved only after putting up arguments to defend themselves and having the interviewer consult the supervisor.

As I mentioned I stayed with sponsoring employer till 2 weeks before GC approval. I was laid off. I had to relocate to different city/state. I did not file any new I140 or labor. The day I joined my new work I got the GC approval. My job description is same.

Thanks for the inputs
