I took my citizenship interview 2 days ago, everthing went well, I 100% passed the Civic test. The officer give me a form checked "others"
He wrote ''supervisor review'', He told me that if I don't get anything from
INS office after 120days, Please come back to use INFOPASS to make a appoint to check.
He was nice. He said he is waiting for something to come back. And also he
said this need to be checked by other system besides INS. And he said it is
about 911 something. I really don't understand what he mean. Any one have
same experience? I am clean, never have any criminal records.
I lost my sleep on this. Thank you in advance. :confused: :(

Thank you very much!! why most people get approved right after the interview without waiting for security check,but some cases take longer?

I am in the same boat. Where did you take your interview? Also, what's your priority date?

First thing you should do is to fax an FOIPA request to Mr. Hardy. When you get a response (give it 2-3 weeks), which hopefully is gonna say that you have "No Records", then send a letter to Mr. Hardy by mail.
Learn from our mistakes! :)

Good luck! ;)

Thank you!
Even get the "no records" back from FBI, what else you can do?
I think I still need to wait the INS to go through everything. Am I right?

INS does not go through anything at this point. INS is waiting for your name check clearance from the FBI to send you the oath letter.

That's my point. I mean we can do name check request with FBI. but INS still work
on their own. The only thing you can get from FBI is that you will know if you are in trouble or not. Am I right?

No. You are not right.
The FOIPA response will let you know if you are in trouble or not. Then you request the status of your name check from FBI. You can pretty much get one of the following answers:
1. The FBI never got a request from INS, in which case you go back to the INS;
2. It is still pending, in which case you try to expedite it;
3. It's been completed on XX/XX/XXXX, in which case you give a little time to INS to update your records and send you the oath letter (if date is recent), or contact INS and tell them about it (if the date is old).
