Citizenship interview next month questions

Hi,

I have just received my NOA for an interview for next month. The letter specified that I needed to bring the interview letter, GC, Passport(old/new), 2 passport style pics, State ID and proof of Selective Registration Service Letter and did not mention about bringing Federal/State last 3 or 5 years income taxes transcripts. Should I bring it anyway or anything else I would also need to bring just in case? I am single, never married, no children, never renewed my passport, no tickets, no criminal histories. Also, my interview is 3 days before my 5 years anniversary. Does it pose any problems? Does it mean they won't give me an oath letter if I passed the interview and will only mail the oath letter and attend the oath ceremony after my 5 years anniversary? Any inputs will be greatly appreciated!

You don't need to bring them but you can bring them in case. You can prepare three folders or bags.

Bag 1 contains those documents you must bring
Bag 2 contains those documents you may be asked such as tax transcripts, birth certificate, SSN card
Bag 3 contains any thing you can think up using your imagination

So this way important really required documents won't get messed up by potentially needed documents.

Does it pose any problems? Does it mean they won't give me an oath letter if I passed the interview and will only mail the oath letter and attend the oath ceremony after my 5 years anniversary? Any inputs will be greatly appreciated!

Does not cause nay problem

I assume you're an asylee? Oke, well, I think you need tax transcripts only if your ties to the US are in question, so unless you've been out of country for a large part of your 5 years, you shouldn't have to take them. As for your 5 year anniversary, I think you'll have to wait until after that to take your oath, which means you'll either get a letter on the spot for a later date or you'll get one in the post. Good luck, and keep us posted. I'm an asylee too, and I'm applying for citizenship in a couple of months, with a LOT of time outside the US. Nervous.
