citizenship interview-HELP

Dear All,
I have received my citizenship interview letter for June 24th 2009. Unfortunately I am going to be out of town that day. If I reschedule my interview, will it be postponed several months, weeks? Anyone who has asked for a reschedule can they please advise what their experience was? Is there a phone number besides the 1 800 number that I can call to get a feel for this?

You can send back the IL to your DO and request it to be rescheduled. Depending on DO availability, it can take anywhere from 1-3 months to get a new interview date.
