Citizenship Interview and Damaged Passport

I am expecting to get IL very shortly. However my passport got water damaged ( I accidently left in my trosuers pocket and put trouser for washing). I dont expect to travel till my naturalization process is over. I can get a duplicate passport but was wondering if anyone can comment on if I go for interview with a water damaged passport will it be an issue?

Just take your passport and explain the situation. You won't have problems.
