Citizenship for my Mother

Hi, I'm a 20 yr. old U.S citizen female who is planning to file for citizenship for my mother who resides in the United States for over 20 years and have been working for over 10 years. Her visa expired about 5 years ago but is still currently working full time. I want to know if the process is going to allow her to remain in the country and how long would it take if she is my natural birth mother and has a younger daughter also american citizen? I turn 21 this year (2005) July. I'm not married no children. Please help very concerned.

She had just the visa to travel back in forth from her country to the United States. Will my status not disreguard that rule like what they do for married couples?

A spouse of a US citizen can't just file for citizenship. Nor can your mother.

After you turn 21, you will need to file an I-130/I-485 for her to get her Green Card. Five years after that, she can apply for citizenship.
