Hi all

Has anyone taken the citizenship test in the province of Quebec? I have a
tewst coming up in a couple of days in Montreal and I would like to know what the steps are.

Is there an interview? What kind of questions are asked?

Does the test come before or after the interview?

How many questions is one allowed to miss?

Many MAny thanks.

I took the test and for your info here is how it worked:

I was there at 8:15 for the citizeship test. The questions were super-easy.
There 2 must-do questions about voting (quite easy and common-sense).
There were 3 questions out of which one had to do at least one correctly.
And overall a total of 12/20 would give you a passing grade.

Then we were led to a different room waiting for an officer to interview us. The interview was quite routine: a checking of the pages of the current and prior passports and simple questions about your address, your job, travels, etc...

Then we waited outside the room till everyone was interviewed. After about 2 hours, the judge performed the citizenship ceremony for us : we took the oath, and we were handed out citizenship cards.

As simple as that. All in one day. The whole process took about 10 months.

Hi!

Can you please let me know more about the interview with the officer? How long did it last? Were they checking every page in your passport? What kind of questions were they asking?

Thanks!
