Citizenship Eligibility: years or marriage

I am applying for citizenship, N-400. I am eligible based on having a green card for 16 years, I am also married 9 years, 2 kids, living together etc. Which one is better to base my application on? (Part 2 of N-400, I should check only one) Is one going to be faster processed then other? Thanks!

5 yr LPR has less paperwork to submit.

3 yr marriage to USC is useful IF you have something temporarily disqualifying in that period 3 to 5 yrs ago.
