Hi,

I am planning to apply for my citizenship soon....i would like to know
if i can travel a short trip to london before i apply N 400...i see
tht on the guide tht we shud stay on the district for atleast 3 months
b4 filing N400...i have been staying in NY for many years...

Is it okay if i take a short trip in the last 3 months?

How many days is this 30 months physical presence period? i heard from
someone tht it is 913/914 days..is it so? i have exactly 916 days in
US in the last 5 years...Is that okay or bad?

pls pls help....thanx a lot in advance....

You will be fine for taking short trips. For short visits here or there are perfectly fine. Just make sure you listed them clearly on your N400 application.

The 3 month rule applies mainly if you recently move house; specifically, you must have resided in the district to which you are applying for a minimum of 3 months prior to sending your N-400 to the service center.

There is no rule saying you must be physically present in the US for three months prior to application, so taking short trips abroad is fine, providing you still meet the physical presence test (900 days out of 5 years).

You should be fine.
My PD was 07/21. I took a one day trip to Canada between 06/15 and 06/16.
The officer at my interview just confirmed if that was my last trip before submission of my N-400.
Good luck!!!
