Hi, I just had an interview at Baltimore, MD Federal Buinding for Naturalization.
Here is my background:
1) Had a DUI in 99 of which the charges were dismissed. I didnt do any other crime.
2) Have been GC holder since Jan 2003.
3) Had a DWI in 08 which I plead guilty, finished probation and
community service.
I went ahead and filed for citizenship in July and today(Oct 19th) I had an interview. She took civics test which I passed. She went over every thing on the application and the civics questions were some what hard if you are being casual.... So be prepared...just a friendly advise. Ofcourse I passed luckily!
Then at the end she said she recommends me for approval. She needs her supervisor to concur with her decision and since the DWI was during the statutory period that if the certified copy of the court disposition is ok (which I gave her) to approve or her supervisor needs a sealed letter. She said she will mail the letter of approval and the date for oath. She finally handed me over a paper where it says "no decision could be made". I don't know the outcome of their decision but I am just praying. What do you guys think? It could be anything. As humans we do our part. So I did my part.
Thanks,
Jag
