I have a few questions before I apply for citizenship (had permanent green card for 5 years filed for divorce 2 months ago, can't afford a lawyer and not sure if I need one) .
1. I have moved 3 times, once approximately 1.5 years but never used a change of address form, should I list all the address I lived in until now in the N-400?
2. there is a section about good moral character. I never got arrested,
but it asks if I was ever detained by an officer. I had about 4 incidences in the past 6 years.
I don't remember the exact dates(how can I find out if I need to?), I got cited for speeding twice(about 5 years ago), once for open container of alcohol in public(about 5 years ago?) and got cited twice on my bicycle for not stopping at a stop sign (in the past 7 months).
They say to mention even if the records have been cleared(I have a clean dmv report so I think all the speeding tickets are clear).
Do i really need to mention all of this?
can it have any affect on the processing time if i do mention it?(or "forget to mention some of it)
3. I still haven't received my divorce date in the mail, but I checked the superior court website, and the divorce date is already posted since april 7th. It says " marital status ends Jun 12 2009" , so I can file as "other"(not divorced or married) and show a print of this page at the interview(and or send a copy with the forms, whichever is better)? This will save me filling all the info about my ex (we are not in touch anymore)
Sorry about all the questions. I am planning on leaving the country around December maybe for 6 months or more, so I am trying to figure out if I can get a passport by then.
