Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone had an answer to my question.I will qualify to file for my citizenship by June 2008.I was thinking of going to Nigeria when I get my citizenship, and then file for my husband while i am in Nigeria.Does anyone know if that is something that can be done.

I assume you are talking about doing DCF at the US embassy in Nigeria. That depends on whether that US embassy entertains DCF. Some do and some don't.

Check into the DCF in Nigeria like Triple Citizen mentioned. I also think you have to be a resident of Nigeria to file there. If you are from Nigeria yourself then it is not an issue.
I filed my husband's I-130 while in this country as a LPR. N400 applications can take a really short time to process or a really long time. I always felt better that his application was at least filed. You have 9 -10 months before you can even file and then the processing time. I would file now and then upgrade his application once you get your citizenship.
