CIS online processing date got updated now

Hi All;

Online processing got updated on the web site. Houston DO was in October 1 last month, now it moved to December 1st 2004. What does that mean for me? my PD is October 19th and I did the interview in Februray. My case is still pending name check. Does it mean my name check is completed!!!!!?????? :confused:
 
I noticed LA office seems moves forward much faster than Santa Ana office

LA's processing time
Oct 15 -> Nov 15

Santa Ana's processing time
Oct 1 -> Oct 15

Steve , my brother,
Those dates indicate that the DO is having interviews for those applicants with those priority dates. since you have had your interview already, those dates don't benefit you.Furthermore, you if somebody has a problem with name check, those dates won't apply to them.

Steve is right, the dates were updated today, and wow, Memphis office moved 3 months ahead! Nice surprise!
 
yes, that is what I thought intially, but in one of my 12 infopath appointments in the last six month :eek:, one of the Customer services rep told that these dates reflect people doing oath! Or may be I am trying to be optimistic about it :D

there is nothing wrong with being optimistic. And i hope that you are right about it, but i noticed something, last month when the date for memphis was saying January 1, 2004, Amishah (with Priority date of Mid April) got the naturalized. therefore, either those posts are 3 months behind or it's for something else , don't u thinnk?
 
i thought it was once a month to get updated. however, in March, i noticed Santa Ana and LA offices got updated twice.

Bashar, I know you have been following Norfolk very closely & so am I beacuase I will be ready to apply in few months. It seems that processing times were updated twice in the month of march . Maybe it might be the case this month as well. Also , someone had posted a couple of months back that washington dc was slow processing cases because they were moving the physical location of their offices in Arlington . Did that have any impact on Norfolk . I know a year or two back Norfolk used to process cases in 6 months . What are your thoufghts or anyone has take on Norfolk processing time in particular. 2 weeks movement in the latest update for a small district office like Norfolk seems very less compared to larger district offices like Dallas & san fran. Thoughts/ Comments please,

The Arlington office has already moved and it seems that the cases are moving along fine now. I don't think Norfolk was effected that much as processing dates did jump nearly two months during the February update. Hopefully things will pick up next month. But it seems like it takes just about 12 months exactly for the naturalization process in Norfolk. A friend applied in 12/02 and was naturalized in 01/03.

Once again, the DO processing dates got updated yesterday but no progress has been shown on the dates!??

NY DO Time moved ahead about 10 months?

In the new processing dates published on April 21, New York district office time for N400 applications has moved ahead by 10 months to Feb. 2004, is that possible or realistic?

I am currently living in NY and my wife in NJ because of our jobs. I am thinking of moving to NJ so that I can be closer to her and eventually get a job in NJ. I could move to NJ which would be about 40 miles drive from my work. Since my N400 filing date is coming closer, I am wondering if I should file from NY first and then move to NJ - will this create any problems? OR is it better to move to NJ first and then file?

In both the options above, can I give my NY or NJ address as temporary and my wife's address as permanent on the form?

I'm not sure about the 18th. I check the dates often, and they have been stuck at jan 13 (or was it 16th?) 2004 since about a month ago even though the page said they were updated approximately every week.

Processing dates online

As of December 1 / 05 the processing dates seems to have been last updated on October 19th, If I remember correctly before that it was updated on September 15th. Can anyone with past experience educate me, as to, how often the dated gets updated? thank you
 
what do they mean?

what does this processing date mean exactly? does it mean that files around that date are being pulled out for interveiw? or background checks? or what? to say LA DO has a current date of March 26, 2005 (as of October 19, 2005 when they last updated). My PD was June 10 and I had interview on 10/20/2005 when I got a notice of background check pending...
Could somebody explain to me these dates. Thanks.
