CIS cancelled AOS interview the day after interview

Hi Gurus,

A couple of weeks ago I went to AOS interview, everything is fine and i got the 551 stamp. A week later i got the green card and welcome notice from INS.

However, the day after the interview CIS sent a notice of interview cancellation to my old address saying for some unforeseen reason they have to reschedule my interview. The notice was sent to my old address so we received it yesterday.

I totally don't understand that. Any one has any clue?

looks like a bad hitch of their data system. getting the green card is the final and last step. Your card has been generated, sent, received... if that notice was of a matter they would't have ordered your green card. The least - the cancellation notice raises a red flag before they issue the plastic. For your peace of mind you might want to speak to a CSRepr from the #1-800 ... but i would just say- ignore it.

Hi ,

I had my interview & received I-551 at the interview. Can you tell me after how many day you received that plastic GC? Also, after how many day your online status got changed after interview? Does it change to some approval message, once you get I-551 stamp?
