Ciba pls help : Is it possible to start a second I-485

Hi all,

I filed my I485 for myself and my husband through my company. But I have got RFE for I485 asking for I140 redo and then an RFE for the new I140 amendment as well. I don\'t know where all this is going. Meanwhile my company is also going through financial trouble and I could get laid off anytime.
My husband has a I140 approval from his company. Is it possible to start I485 from his company as well ? Is it illegal to have two I485 filed for the same person ?
Is there anyone out there who have filed two I-485 (through self and spouse) ?

i talked about similar situation with my attorney, they suggested that my spouse could also apply for 485 with me as dependent, though I had already applied for 485 with my spouse as dependent.. and later on, after one set of applications get approved, I have to withdraw the other set of 485 applications...
check with your attorney about this.... could be a good option for you.

In general, multiple AOS filing is strongly discouraged. However,
in your situation, filing again via your busband seems to be the
only option given that your company is in trouble. If you opt for
this, you should withdraw the current application before filing
a new one.

Please note that this is just my personal opinion. You should
definitely consult a lawyer to discussion the details.
