Hi bongo,

My statement was referring to your non-immigration status, meaning
that in AOS stage, you do not have to worry about being out-of-status
or work without authorization like being on H1. You must have a job
to immigrate. If you get laid off before 180days of filing, you probably
have to start the whole process all over again.
