APR, yes, the automated system will reflect your card status. In
fact, there are two stages of voice message change after I-485
approval. The first message change will be something like
"processing is complete, we will mail you a card when it is ready".
The second change will indicate WHEN the card is actually ordered.

Ciba, are you referring to the AVM system message for the original I-485 petition? My message has been changed to the "This case has been approved on ... and the approval notice was mailed. If 14 days have passed...". There is no mentioning of a plastic card at all. When the reference to the plastic card is supposed to appear in the voice message?
