Interview day is approaching and they realize that the FBI Name Check is not completed.

75% OFF on Caribbean Cruise and the IO couldn't pass on the opportunity of such a bargain vacation.

Or the IO just felt that s/he worked too much and too hard and decided to "take it easy" ;)
 
on my interview date i overheard a lady complaining to a io that she has been waiting since 8.00 in the morning and the io replied i have no idea who is incharge of ur case , i myself have a backlog of 1 hr(so this means they actually have time frames for each interview) and went on to say the people who schedule interviews have no idea what it is to interview a candidate but just blindly schedule candidates for interviews.
:confused: so who doesnt know the stress of io's,the people working within d.o or someone who is not in the d.o

My answer is (c). At newark DO, an officer is assigned to your file when you appear for the interview and give them your interview letter. Assignment is completely random and officer pick up a bunch of files together... at least that's what I noticed at Newark during my interview.

Possible.
My IO looked like he saw my file for the first time at the interview.
I was expecting him to know what is in there and to be prepared with question and "red flags" if any :confused:
 
i had a totally different experience and did get a chance to discuss some issues ...
also suzy they are obviously assigned a case but they are so overburdened they do not have time to check ur file before u go there ;)

Exactly!
In my case, I know that the officer was assigned to my file ONLY when I dropped off my interview letter in the tray at the appointment time.

I also observed and was told that the front end clerks/assistants were in charge of disbursing the files with interview notice to the officers, depending on the workload/number of cases in their (IO) queue.
 
lets forget nj,u guys are different u gt to take oath same day...
we are not so fortunate!

what do make of this?

Here is an information from the USCIS Case status web site for one of the receipts :-

What do you make of it ?

Does this mean the file sent to another Service Center or it means it is sent to the local District office " for them to schedule and conduct your interview" ?

i had never heard a applicants case status on uscis portal after case was transferred to a d.o....
anyways b.o.luck ......they keep trying all options to delay your case :confused:

Apparently due to the avalanche of lawsuits, they, the processing centers, don't want to schedule interviews but also need to move the files to local DO in order not to show a too big backlog.

Probable, to use their own wording, due to "unforeseen circumstances", they deschedule interviews. I believe, FBI name check uncompleted is the most common reason.
 
So what does this signify,

A file sent to another Service Center or A file sent to District Office.

Your thoughts please.
