Hi All,
I finally received the long-awaited email from CRIS stating "Current Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident." What a relief!! I still can't believe my eyes. I'm one of those who got LUDs on 9/5/ and 9/6 and one of the cases with an older PD (all details given below). My wife's application is still pending, but she did get an LUD today.

Thanks to everyone for all your support and encouragement (p235 thanks for the good wishes). I will still be around periodically to share my views on this forum.

Congrats but did you notice that on very strange date you got approved : 9-11

Thanks Bharatpremi. I did notice the coincidence of when I received my approval, but I know people born on this day as well. One's person's poison is another's ambrosia (figuratively speaking). That's the irony of life isn't it?

Hi zinchak,
My FP was in April '07. I saw an LUD after that in April' 07. I did an infopass on 7/30 or 7/31, but they said my namecheck was still pending. Then I got the LUDs on 9/5 and 9/6. Finally the approval today.
