Child born in India for US citizen parent get India passport too?

Hi,
Father is US citizen and mother is a GC holder and kid born in INDIA. They are going to apply for US passport in INDA by filling the forms CBRA. At the same time can the Kid also apply for INDIA passport?

Hmm, as far as I know NOBODY can have Indian citizenship and another one, but I MIGHT have read something somewhere about a child born to parents having different citizenships.
 
No way. Child will have only US passport. If the child is still in India, can exit on US passport, but cannot return without a visa/PIO/OCI.

If you apply for US passport, you cannot apply for Indian passport or lose it if you already have it. I am not sure whether the act of filing for CBRA would make the child lose its Indian citizenship.
