Child born in India 1 years of age... parents in H1 H4 visa...h4 for child procedure?

Hi Friends

Have few questions regarding bringing child under 1 year of age born in India to US, whose parents are H1B and H4 visa holders?

1. Does the child needs to go through the same H4 application process?
2. If so does he need to go for personal appearance for VISA?
3. Is there any other way to bring the child to US without any VISA?

1. Does the child needs to go through the same H4 application process? YES, NEED PASSPORT, BIRTH CERTIFICATE, H1 APPLICANTS EMPLOYMENT INFO, PHOTOS, FEES, ETC.
2. If so does he need to go for personal appearance for VISA? NO, PERSONAL APPEARANCE NOT REQUIRED. CAN ALSO MAIL APPLICATION.
3. Is there any other way to bring the child to US without any VISA? NO

Thanks for the response. I'm happy to know that. But I havent seen the information that kids under age one doesnt need to go for personal appearance, in chennai (India) consulate web site... Thats the reason, I was little concerned and posted this question. Also I'm worried that if there is any new rules or something like that, that requires everybody coming to US who appear for visa should appear for personal appearance... Can you please clear my query... Thank you so much.

Actually I would like to correct my previous post, I think interview is now required for ALL first time applicants. Please send an email to Chennai consulate, they will clarify this for you in 1-2 days.
 
Hi,

Now, it is compulsory for every applicant, even minor child, to appear physically for H4 visa. I enquired with TTS, chennai and they replied as such.
