post-interview wait!

My spouse had an interview on December 18th. I am a GC holder. We are still waiting for news from the Chicago office. (getting really tired of it too :) )

Her RD is 2/2001.

Re.

My wife's RD was 10 months after mine. I guess we were VERY lucky when both our cases got transfer to Chicago.

I thought I should be approved soon but ...

Is it gonna be like redo the entire I485 again??? :(

Chicago INS phone number?

Does any one know Chicago INS phone number???
This number 312-353-7334 has been disconnected. And looks like all local INS numbers has been disconnected.

Hi wisefish.
Thanks for your reply.
My 485 case got transferred to Chicago. I want to call Chicago INS. Should I have to call (312)-385-1500. Does the person sitting at this number have access to 485 applications. I called 312-353-7334. And later learnt that all the local INS numbers in all the cities across USA has been disconnected.

Still waiting for interview from chicago INS office

Hi Chiwater,

Thats a long wait !!!!

Did you redo your finger printing ??
And did you tried contacting Local
Senator or Congressman ??

Good Luck

IJ

Did FP in October, 2001, havn't redo the FP. Contact the congressman office, doesn't help. Contact Local INS office through the lawyer, get a letter say we will get response from INS in 90 days. We are hoping we can get something in the next few months. Really it's a long wait.

Truth or Joke.
I received my transfer notice from INS for local transfer it says. " This is to advise you that in order to speed processing we have transferred the above case to the following INS office for processing".
I heard it adds another 3-6 months if the case is tranfered to local office, especially chicago Why whould they refer this as speed processing.

Joke!!

gc48501,

Joke buddy!!... Mine got transfered on 5/17/2002 with the same message... "to speed processing...crap" and still have not heard jack s*&$%. Called what they call the national INS line and they said it takes on average 12 months after transfer date to get an interview!!!. On any case...trransferes to chicago adds another year to the wait. I guess we should have lived in ALASKA....
