Chennai Interviews and NVC Case numbers (MDR2002----)

Checking the appointments for March and April, looks like cases
starting with MDR2002--- are few (perhaps because most of the MDR2002 cases
are being processed by NVC under the new process).

Question: Since the MDR2002 cases that have been scheduled have case
numbers like MDR2002017--- and MDR2002028--- etc., what about those
cases that are MDR2002200--- and MDR2002600---? Will they have to wait
a long time (several months) to be scheduled?

Since April interviews have some MDR2002 cases and these are
numbered MDR2002017???? etc., do people with case numbers
                ^^^
MDR2002400???? and MDR2002500???? etc. have to wait
many months before the Consulate can schedule their
interviews?

Depends on when you sent your pkt3

I think it depends on when you sent pkt3. MDR2002017???? people might have sent the pkt3 late.

I saw hardly 2 cases with EB category. more specifically with E2 and E3. Probably somehow , some cases might have been processed through old process. I do not know about other categories..
 
my 2 cents

I personally know the case number you are refering to, I am in one of them. Those number are processed in the old method. This is because they are unique employment based cases for dependents.
Eg : Cases that combined marriage and CP, follow-to-join spouse cases. These categories are not yet processed by NVC.

Hope this clears a lot of confusion.
