Does anybody has experience how the situation is in CA for chemists with PhD to get labor certification with RIR. I am employed in a company which didn't have any layoffs in the last 5-6 years. I know that the situation for IT is very tough but I can't find anything how the situation is for chemist. Any help is appreciated.

I am also in similar field and have asked about non-IT approvals etc before but got no reply. If u get any info about biotech/ pharma applications please post. As far as I know I think only IT is affected.

Good luck!

I will update you if I will find out something.

Did you already start your greencard application process ? If yes, which way are you going, E2B RIR, E1B-EA, -OR or E2B-NIW ?
I am in so moment in the process of discussing this issue with my company and we agreed with out big discussion that they will pay for it but my company and I disagree with the attorny of the company by which way we should apply for the greencard and so I hope to get some additional information somewhere else.

I only have MS not Ph.D.
If you can u better go thru NIW or outstanding researcher...you can avoid labor certification that way and it will be faster.
