Checking online status

Query : We are not allowed to check status of 140 application on the phone - only the employer or the representative/attorney is. Are you authorized to check the status of your 140 application online when you are logged on as a 'customer'? Technically the 'customer' for 140 petition is the employer. Does anybody see that as violating BCIS regulations regarding accessing unauthorized info?

Interesting thought, but I think though 140 is candidate specific unlike LC which can be reused.

Though, 485 is definitly for the candidates which they can check anytime.

I am not sure about the legality. Since we are the beneficaries, we are entitled to check the status.

If we are not supposed to check our status legally, then we are not allowed to use the scanner software which will scan some one else's status. etc.....

Just my thought

- Thanks
