Need a little help for timeline
Priya,
Do you know the timeline from the citizenship local office to the time that they send out letter for oath and the time from the letter to the time of the oath................My app. was received at the local centre on Jun 04, 2004(Mississauga citizenship and test center) and havent' heard anything from there and everytime I call CIC all they know is that the file is in process.
Please shed some light on this if you can.

i dont think there is any specific timeline
but, after having missed one test date and getting it re-scheduled apprx 4 weeks later, i still haven't taken my oath and it's a almost a year since i filed for my citizenship (just 2 weeks short infact)
my file at the local miss. center (the worst probably due to a very hgih concentration of immigrations there) has been in processing since march and i still don't have a date scheduled for the oath.
a friend who took the test 3 weeks before i did also have not taken the oath as yet.

Heard of anybody getting any dates for oaths in Mississauga lately??
Hi Priya,
Wanted to find out if you or your friend has any update on the dates of Oath............After numerous conversations with the Call centre what I found out about my case was that I cleared the test and the background check etc. was all done and was all postive and that the Local centre was waiting to schedule an Oath ceremony however, noone has given me any clues as far as the date of the Oaths are concerned....................they varied from 2/4 weeks after the positive test results(which was in august in my case) to 6 months....................Havents got any updates that are concrete..............Pls. do share any additional information you have on the same.....................

Called CIC again today
I have been calling CIC as a ritual everyday and everyday there is a new update ..................I was just told today that u should expect the oath sometime into Jan. 2005................all the answers are so different depending on which person you speak to makes me wonder what is going on.......................The only thing common i hear is the decision of the date rests with the local office and hence they are not able to give an exact estimate of dates.......................

Acknowledgement by CIC : Dec. 29, 2003
Transfer to local office : May 26, 2004
Test cleared on : August , 2004 (As per conversation with CIC)
