But how stupid is this? Let's see, up until now people could send their passports down to washington and get new visas, at least the DOHS had a chance at that point to review your application. Now, what's going to happen, people are going to stay perfectly legally in the country without renewing their visas because who wants to go through that hassle and risk having it denied overseas. So the DOHS doesn't even get to review people every few years.

What morons, how can it possibly be argued that it's an increase in security when these people are ALREADY ALLOWED TO STAY HERE just by virtue of extending their underlying petition?
