Check PERM staus only by lawer/employer?

Hi! all,
I filed PERM 1/30/2006. And, I am still waiting. My company lawyer says it is "in process". I would like to check the status by myself on http://www.plc.doleta.gov/eta_start.cfm, but the lawyer does not allow me to do so. :confused: I trust in the lawyer, but I would like to check it every day by myself. The lawyer simply answered me that only lawyer and employer can check the PERM statu. It is true?

Yes, your lawyer is right.

BTW, which PERM center did your case go to ? Atlanta or Chicago?

Since you are from Texas, you have gone to Chicago. You can also ask your attorney to send you a screenshot of the case status screen
