Check not cashed for 6 weeks. What could happen?

I applied GC for my parents using the CP route. The I-130 forms and checks are sent in early Dec to Nebraska, but the checks are still not cashed (> 6 weeks). I didn't receive any letter either.

The USPS delivery confirmation did indicate both letters (I mailed them seperately) were delivered 6 weeks ago.

How long does it usually take them to cash the checks? I'm worried USCIS might have lost my applications.

Its called the No-Service-Center for a reason. They are slow with receipting and lose documents left and right. Call the 1-800 number and ask about the status of your application.
