check for n400

I was looking at the instructions for N400 and it said to put the A number in the back of the check or money order. Isn't that usually in the endorsement area. Don't we usually put it in the front?
Did you put the A-number in the back or front. Also is a money order or check better-Thanks..

I did a personal check and did not put the A number anywhere on it (I missed the instruction, if any). I did put the A number at the back of the photographs.

Check was cashed and the process is moving along smoothly so far.

I put my A# below the endorsement line. I just followed the instruction.
