Hello , I am hoping for some guidance on how to deal with my current situation

My husband and I entered into our marriage in good faith nearly one years ago after an 18 month relationship - we are both 21 years old. He asked to marry me and I said yes. We have had a very public relationship and are both living together - however i am the only name on the lease as i pay the bills and he is unemployed. Recently I have become aware of his infidelity and after confronting him he has accused me of marrying him for personal advantages. I do not know what to do. I love this man truly with all my heart I have given him everything and he has hurt me so deeply. I unfortunately had a traumatic event last december, which I suffered thru alone - I became very ill and in hospital and my husband did not visit me but stayed to be w friends. It was after this that I decided to return home to spend time w my family for a week. after explaining the situation to my father - a man who respected and favored my husband immensely he adviced me to see the relationship thru and to not give up on our love and marriage. After several verbal and nearly physical threats i told my father of my husbands threats to claim I was marrying him in fraud and my father told me to appease him until we could calm my husband into thinking rationally - he was cheating on me with several others and continues to do so. Now I have addressed that I would like to leave my husband is threatening to show the USCIS the conversation he saved between my father and I and to get me imprisoned! I DID NOT MARRY FOR MY GC - I am from a wonderful place - I married for love! really and truly. I now have a successful job in which i provide for us both financially and have made a life for myself here with my husband. I have asked him for divorce and explained that I will leave to be home again but he wants to see me punished for an act I did not commit in fraud. Please help me as I am so hurt and confused.

Just file for divorce, and when the divorce is final, you can immediately file for Removal of Conditions by yourself (that is, of course, if you want to stay in the U.S.).

You should start gathering evidence of the bona fide marriage. He can claim whatever he wants; that does not mean they will believe him.

Why did you husband suddenly change? Divorce should be a final alternative when all appeals to reason have failed. Why does he want to destroy you? Have you sought counseling? If you have all those evidence that the marriage is bonafide, you have nothing to fear. If the marriage is irretrievably broken you can file for divorce then after finalized file for removal of conditions solo.

Your father is a wise man, give his words some consideration.

Best.

Make sure you have evidences that he cheated on you.
It happened to my friend once. They divorced after 2 years of marriage. She went to the interview and they asked the reasons and details of the marriage. 5 months later. Yes 5 months later she got the GC.
