Charlotte ???

Let's see if we can have a thread going for Charlotte. My timeline is attached. Everyone's participation will be well appreciated. It will benefit all of us!

here's mine-I am assuming that Charlotte is my DO, that is where I have to get FP, but my lawyer thought my DO would be Fairfax, VA. It is strange that I live in VA but am going to NC, well I'd rather drive to NC over DC area anyday!
 
is the Charlotte office easy to get to off I-77? I have a 3 hour drive to get there-any tricks-parking issues?

12/08/06 - RD I-485, I-130
12/12/06 - ND I-485, I-130
12/18/06 - RD & ND I-765
12/25/06 - ND FP, CODE 3
01/01/07 - ND FP, CODE 2
01/17/07 - FP APP, CODE 3
01/24/07 - FP APP, CODE 2

I guess, I don't need to do both of these FP's...
I read that FP CODE 3 covers FP CODE 2... Probably, they sent me second appointment notice because I filed I-765 a week or so after the I-485 & I-130...
Anyway, I'll ask them on Wednesday...
 
Charlotte office was easy to get to. And I didn't have any problems with parking. Even with appointment, you have to fill out a one-page app, get a ticket and wait. But it took me only an hour to get everything done and get out of there.

I had an RFE and I am mailing my response today.

01/17/2007 FP DONE (CODE 3 & CODE 2)

since then i just got couple LUDs for I-485 and I-130
first one the same day as FP 01/17/2007
the other one on 01/20/2007
 
Guys, I had 5 LUD's on 485 since RD. 1-15, 1-18, 1-22, 1-25, 1-29 (today). The message has not changed.
 
Congrats Spungebob. When you get a chance, give us the details of your interview. Mine is coming up in Charlotte next week :)

Hang in there. If you look at the other Charlotte post, you can get a better idea about the time. We filed 7/5, got interviewed 12/7, so an interview withing 4- 5 months from filing is what you should expect.;)
 
Got my passport stamped

I had an Infopass appointment today in Charlotte. Apparently, my 485 was approved as of 1/30/07, however, the officer didn't "double click" to complete my case. That is why my 485 was still pending. I strongly recommend you to come to Charlotte and get this done. Once an IO verify my approval, she tamped my passport and told me that I should recieve a card very soon. If you just keep waiting, nothing will be done as they won't look up your file. As far as they concern, you are approved. Nothing more to be done! So... it is clear that you must TRIPPLE confirm with every process when you go through a greencard journey!

it is strange though that some Charlotte people have had interviews like 2-3 months after filing!
