Changing the location of interview

Hi,

I am a beneficiary of a family based immigration. Since at the time my mother filled up a petition for me I was in my country of citizenship, the embassy where my interview is supposed to be done is specified at this country. However, right now I live in Canada and I prefer that my interview to be done here in Canada. My questions are:

1- Is it possible to change the location of interview?

2- May changing the location of interview causes any delay on processing my file?

3- How should I ask for this modification?

Many thanks for your help,
Mehrdad

I thought all Iran based applicants are interviewed in Ankara?

A1: Yes, NVC needs to be updated with your new address
A2: Possibly. That depends on whether your file is still at the NVC or has been dispatched to the local consulate.
A3: Contact NVC

Thank for your answers.

Yes, you are right. The location of my interview is in Ankara.

As you said, I have updated with NVC my new contact address in Canada. But, after receiving a letter from NCS confirming that they have changed my contact address, the location of the embassy where I am supposed to have my interview is still mentioned as Turkey, Ankara.

1) Should I ask for changing the location of embassy separately? Is there a specific form for this purpose?

2) Currently I became a PR of Canada, does it influence the process of obtaning a US green card?

Thank you very much,
Mehrdad

A1: I am not too sure with regards to using a specific form, I think another letter to NVC should do the trick.
A2: Your Canadian PR does not influence your GC process. Just remember, you will need to give up Canadian PR status if you move to the US on a permanent basis.

Thank you for the answers!

I have heard that in the interview they will ask to choose between Canadian PR and US PR. Is that right? Have you heard of any experience that someone who is a Canadian PR is invited for the US GC interview.
