Dear people,
I'll arrive in US with a J-1 visa for an internship from June, 1st to August 15th. After that, I'll begin my studies abroad (again in US) from August, 15th to December, 20th and I need an F-1 visa for that. If I start the changing status procedure immediatelly upon my arrival in US, is there enough time to get my new status approved by September, 1st? How long is this procedure in general? Is it safer to do that or to waste money and go back to my home country (Serbia) and get a new visa there?
Thanks a lot for your answers!
Darko
